Solar Home Systems provide off-grid households with small, but low cost electricity enough for simple lighting, mobile phone charging, and small appliances.
We conducted a randomized control trial in Rwanda to estimate their impacts on household safety, expenditure, time use, and other indicators in order to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of subsidizing them for the lowest income households.
